Tennille Russo – the woman behind ‘The Chantilly Kitchen’ – is a lover of all things patisserie, has come from a background in teaching, photography and small business and has dabbled in a myriad of creative and craft possibilities over the years.

Tenny discovered a passion for baking about 10 years ago, which complemented a full life, raising children. Her eye for perfection and skill to execute, eventually lead her to start her own business in 2014.

‘The Chantilly Kitchen’ has burgeoned onto the scene with an enviable reputation, that has seen the business flourish. Tenny’s fierce and focused passion, talent and entrepreneurial spirit has found her with a thriving business as the creator of fabulous cakes and desserts for all occasions.

Tenny is firstly passionate about people, delighting to bring joy to others through her creations. Her husband Jon and their five children, are the first in a long line of beneficiaries!

Tenny’s tenacity has enabled her to successfully launch The Chantilly Kitchen in 2014, with the challenges of creating delicate chocolate decorations and pulling off perfect macaron’s in soaring temperatures and ever-present humidity.

In mid-2016, Darwin’s First Tea Room was born. You can visit 6 days a week, in Aralia Street, Nightcliff, NT.
